SalSon, one of North America’s largest supply chain solutions providers, has acquired the Charleston, SC drayage operations of The Scoular Company. The acquisition expands SalSon’s drayage capabilities near the Port of Charleston by adding a new terminal located on 3.1 acres, a secure controlled-access container yard, and a 15-bay cross dock facility.
This most recent acquisition accelerates SalSon's expansion in Charleston and allows us to keep pace with the rapid growth at the Port. SalSon Logistics’ capabilities there include: drayage, transload/cross-dock, pool distribution, warehousing/distribution, and dedicated transportation solutions.
Joining SalSon as part of the acquisition is a strong team of logistics professionals who bring more than 90 years of total industry experience. Their expertise will be leveraged in Charleston and across SalSon's Southeast operations.
Scoular and SalSon utilize the same dispatch operating system, so the transition to a single, integrated operation in Charleston is expected to be seamless.
